When Priorities Change

Spread the love

There was a time when I was very active in the events and conferences circuit. However, when my health issues arose, I ceased traveling to attend conferences or meetups. I recall most of the people I encountered during these travels and those who interacted within these conferences. Recently, an acquaintance from the past reached out and asked where I disappeared to, inviting me to a conference taking place in another city. He wanted me to speak on some of the things I am working on, mentioning a few names in the business world who will be the keynote speakers. None of the names rang a bell, and when I mentioned this to another friend, she explained that some of the names are CEOs and CTOs of startups that emerged in the past few years.

I just felt so disconnected from reality, as if in another lifetime I knew most of the names and who was doing what. I used to closely follow the startup space and the growth of organizations. Now, my focus is mostly on health, work, and personal life.

I believe as priorities change, things become less important over time. Good morning, friends. Have a wonderful day ahead.
