I registered the domain DigitalA11Y about 10 years ago and initially brought it online as a simple blog. However, I didn’t keep it updated for a few years. In 2019, when I was diagnosed with kidney failure, I realized I needed something meaningful to focus on, something to help me channel my energy. That’s when I returned to blogging. At the time, I had an active personal blog, but growing and nurturing something new like DigitalA11Y felt like a more rewarding challenge.
My initial goal was to write about accessibility in simple, approachable language and to share the resources I had gathered during my own learning journey. Little did I know how much my initiative would resonate with others. Over the years, it has taken a great deal of effort, persistence, and dedication to keep DigitalA11Y regularly updated. However, I was never alone in this journey—so many people have contributed to its success. Every person who worked on it, gave feedback, or appreciated our work, including our readers, is a hero in their own right.
From the bottom of my heart, I want to thank everyone who has supported me along the way. Now, as DigitalA11Y enters a new phase, I’m confident that it will continue to thrive under new stewardship.
As DigitalA11Y enters its next chapter, I feel both humbled and proud of what we’ve built together. This journey has been filled with challenges, victories, and most importantly, a growing commitment to making the digital world accessible to all. Though I am stepping back, my belief in this mission is unwavering. I trust that DigitalA11Y will continue to thrive and push the boundaries of accessibility with fresh energy and ideas. Thank you to everyone who has played a part in this story—it’s not the end, but a new beginning.
