Are You Indian… Using Paypal as a Payment Processor For Your Online Transactions Then read this?

Paypal Problem
Paypal Problem

I came across the news that paypal is not allowing Indian’s to

Transfer the payments in mode of personal payments. A close friend of

mine gave a call and told this information as his business is badly

hurt. He is a web marketer and makes his living by writing articles,

doing data entry and providing some online services to websites. When

Paypal implemented their policies he was thrown into the depths of

troubles and he states all his payments are stuck at clients and he

cannot effort to get the payment in any other form.

Since his business is service oriented and there is no proof for the

business transaction he cannot get the payment in other mode, where

Paypal asks for proof of business transaction. This is hurting a lot

of small businesses and freelancers who are providing services

globally.

I came to know most of them are looking for alternatives and

trying other payment gateways. This is not acceptable by most of the

Paypal users in India, they are yelling at paypal for not informing

before the policy was implemented. The policy was implemented and

Users did not receive any kind of information from paypal. Being a

Paypal user I did not get any mail from paypal with regard to this

Step. Normally I receive advertisement mails from paypal, but a big

Action step like this was missed, the news which must be known to

users is not sent in the form of mails Hmmmmmmmm. There is something

fishy and I would like to know what steps paypal will take

to compensate the problems caused to their users. You can read more

detailed and elaborated post done by fellow blogger ENIDHI. He to

states the same by giving an example where lot of money is involved

and how Paypal is sucking money without knowing to their users. Here

he explains

Update: Paypal is also cheating on withdrawals from paypal

account to Bank account. Any money withdrawn to bank account is

reversed as well, But in the Process paypal conveniently pockets about

10% of the money, in terms Of currency conversion fees and withdrawal

fee, twice-once on Withdrawal and once Again on reversal. For no fault

of theirs users end up losing 10% Outright because they attempted to

withdraw money. Ideally paypal should have declared that withdrawals

are not allowed or could have simply cancelled the Transaction, but

instead they chose silently suck money from user Accounts, which is

outright cheating and fraud.

Paypal is going to loose a big market

share with this issue and I wonder which alternate payment gate ways

that Indian’s can use. Today when I was telling about to one of my

friend about paypal another friend interrupted and said that paypal

has screwed up already with Indian’s don’t you know. Right after that

my friend gave a call and told this news. Now I checked paypal blog

and they announced that it will take few more months to sort this out.
