Last few weeks were a bit stressful for both my team and me. We had multiple projects to deliver, and due to our small yet powerful team, we meticulously planned each delivery with precise timing. While most things went according to plan, we encountered a situation where a few team members had to take a day off to recover from the flu and fever. However, during this time, the remaining team members stepped in and covered for their colleagues. Without my intervention, the team supported each one of them and ensured that all deliveries went smoothly.
I am sharing this letter with my team because I have never received a letter of appreciation for the work delivered in my career as an accessibility consultant from the organizations I have worked with. It means a lot to me to receive such notes of thanks and recognition. Saying “you did a good job” is one thing, but taking the time to express genuine appreciation and gratitude for their efforts is another.
I have received a few notes like these in my email from the clients I have serviced, who wrote their recommendations and testimonials. I read them whenever I feel low and need a bit of motivation.
