A Beautiful Blogger Meet For a Beautiful Weekend

I just returned from a wonderful bloggers meet held by indiblogger.in sponsored by kyra and kingfisher. What an awesome meet it was. It was amazing to see so many bloggers and people who share similar interests at one place. Today I felt like I was at a stompernet party, live event of stompernet. People who don’t know what stompernet live events are, do a Google search of it. I just enjoyed my self at the meet and met lot of new friends and old friends. It’s good to see my old buddies again at a similar meet.

I met Mohan, Mohinish, Anup, Anand, Hitesh, Deepak etc I can go on with names with who all I met. This time the venue was Kyra Theater a famous place from what I heard. I cannot give much description of the place, but a decent one according to me. One must be visual to give the description of such beautiful joints and I am not the right person. I observed that they got nice tables, chairs and good enough light sufficient for low vision, apart from this I will not comment on any thing else. Kingfisher sponsored this event and nice chilled beer was served. It’s good for those who drink and people who are not drinking were enjoying the smell of it like me.

I cannot dare to drink as I have to go home alone and with my challenges it is not recommended. I forgot to say my colleague Ravindra Joisa came for the event and I am proud to say I created this Blogger. Now he is addicted to blogging and he loves to do it. First it started with a video that indiblogger created and put it up on their meeting page. They played the video before starting the event and the indiblogger team was introduced. I think the video was a funny one, as every one clapped and laughed while watching it.

I did not understand anything, but I can see how funny the video was by looking at others. Then we all were given 30seconds to introduce ourselves and this is one of the interesting moments.I  listened carefully to each and every one, there are people who are entrepreneurs, students, professionals in different sectors etc and there are people who don’t have a blog, trying to understand about blogging and I thought to my self how different the world is and how interesting it is. My turn came to introduce and I think I have done a pretty good job of giving my introduction in a short form that is what I feel. Normally what I learned and what I teach is never take more than 34 seconds to introduce your self, as the studies show people are not interested to know more about you after 34 seconds.

After all the introductions were done we all were given a chart and a crayon The chart has got a thread and we have to wear the chart on our back and meet as many people as we can, after interacting with the person they will write their comments on it. It was a fun little thought and I must thank HITESH RAVAT to take me to each and every person almost. I met lot of people and interesting personalities. Hitesh you get lot of thanks and this might not be possible if you haven’t helped me out. I nearly got 16 comments and I will ask any of my friends to read them out for me tomorrow. After we are done with networking session, we moved to how to be a better blogger session. Couple of blogging and tweeting tips was given by indiblogger team and then the real show started.

The real show……yaa the real show of discussion. People actively shared their views, tips and how we can be a better blogger. There is lot of tips given on how to protect your copyrights, how to get coding knowledge and what kind of widgets to use to make your blogging life easier and lastly one of the hot topics whether to blog for money or for passion. People shared their own experiences on how media used their blogposts, photos and people how media wrote some articles which are irrelevant to their blogposts, but publishing a photo of the person along with the article. Some suggested how we can protect our blogs from getting bad identity by providing disclaimers, creative comments attribution, copyright and privacy policy notices etc. It’s good to those kind of issues has brought the subject of expressing the views. People have the freedom to express either online or offline, but there are limits and when we bitch someone how careful we must be was discussed and some good tips were given by an elderly uncle. Sorry uncle if you are reading this you are elder in your age, but not in your voice and views.

The topic of blogging for passion and money also aroused. There was a blogger who earns 1500$ and there is no wonder for me. He wrote more than 1300 articles, posts on his blog in one year. With that kind of content and doing some SEO he will surely earn from ad sense and other sources. I came from a back ground where I have spent 3yrs of my life doing only online marketing. I made some good money and I have put it to learn more and more about the online world, marketing, psychology marketing and digital media. So I can understand the effort of that blogger and he is getting his rewards. Earning money from your blog is purely your choice and I do blogging for passion. I have done blogging for money, but now I do for my self more than for money.

Let me just rap the long story of the kingfisher indiblogger meet, by the time we are done with all these excitement and we have to leave the venue. Every one said bye to each other and then departed. This is a quite long post and took the energy out of me, so this is all about the meet and good night to all.
